“Fearful Avoid Ants,” is the fourth movement of my “String Quartet No. 2 (Adrenaline),” which was chosen as one of the finalists for the Golden Hornet’s String Quartet Smackdown VII, and originally aired on February 25, 2023. This piece integrates the influences of heavy metal bands such as Slayer, Sepultura, Testament, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, and Judas Priest, while also incorporating the cinematic touch of Bernard Herrman.
